Bath & Beauty Direct Sales Reviews

Avon with Caitlin Levesque

Avon

About The Company :

I’m sure you have heard about Avon before, but in the very rare chance you haven’t, here’s a little bit about the company.

This is the company that puts mascara on lashes and food on tables, that fights wrinkles with one hand and Breast Cancer with the other. That knows the value of a perfect lip, but still opens its mouth and speaks out against Domestic Violence and for women’s financial independence. This is the company that not only brings beauty to doors, but also opens them. The company that supports 6 million Representatives in over 100 countries. This is Avon. The company, that for over 125 years, has stood for beauty, innovation, optimism and above all for women.

Avon, the company for women, is a leading global beauty company, with nearly $11 billion in annual revenue. As one of the world’s largest direct sellers, Avon is sold through more than 6 million active independent Avon Sales Representatives. Avon products are available in over 100 countries, and the product line includes color cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, fashion and home products, featuring such well-recognized brand names as Avon Color, ANEW, Skin So Soft, Advance Techniques, and mark.

The roots of Avon can be traced back to 1886, when founder, David H. McConnell, of New York city, discovered that the rose oil perfumes he was giving away were the reason people were buying his books.
Known in those days as The California Perfume Company, the business quickly prospered and Mr. McConnell appointed his first General Agent, Mrs. Albee. At a time before women even had the right to vote, Mrs. Albee was instrumental in establishing the unique sales method that continues to be Avon’s hallmark today.

In 1914, the California Perfume Company opened its first international office in Montreal, Canada. David H. McConnell had aspirations to expand his company overseas and recognized the need to change the company name. Having been enchanted by the beauty of Stratford upon Avon during a visit to England, David McConnell was inspired, and in 1939 he chose the name “Avon” for his growing international company.

About The Items I Received :

Caitlin brought me some great products to test out.

Super Extend Mascara (9.99$ ARP) – I was skeptical about this mascara because I recently fell in love with another.  I put it on and was very impressed at how well it separated my lashes.  No clumping! The separating bristles on the brush help the mascara to get the very tips of your lashes,  making them look super long!  Definitely a fan.

Ultra Glazewear (ARP 8.99$) – Although i’m not a fan of glossy lips, I love the color of this product.   It has great pigmentation.

Ultra Color Indulgence Lipstick (ARP 12.00$) – another super-pigmented lip colour!  This lipstick has a very soft application and feels hydrating on my lips with full coverage! No sheerness here.  Added bonus – it has SPF 15.

Care Deeply Lip Balm with Aloe (ARP 1.99$) – Chapstick is an essential.  Even if you don’t wear makeup,  you need chapstick in your life.  This chapstick has aloe, to soothe dry and cracked lips, but also lips that are sun or wind burnt.   It’s like a first-aid kit for your lips!

Tranquil Moments Bath & Shower Gel (ARP 8.00$) –  Infused with bergamot, jasmine and sandalwood, this shower gel has a soft, calming scent.

These products above are staples I think every woman should own.
