Carnivore Club

Carnivore Club is the world’s first curated cured meat of the month club. They feature artisans from around the world. Each month Carnivore Club’s members receive a box filled with 4-6 handcrafted cured meats from top artisans. Like wine, the laborious craft of cured meats is an art form that requires the diligent pursuit of perfection through endless hours of trial and error. Carnivore Club celebrates the individual recipes of each cured meat savant. Also, no two meats are alike even when similar in name.

Each month’s box is themed around one producer specializing in a particular style of cured meats. French Charcuterie, Italian Salumi, Spanish Chorizo, South African Biltong and Artisanal Jerky are but a few. Carnivore Club loves artisans that purchase ethically treated animals, employ humane slaughtering practices, use locally sourced ingredients and have a passion for making exceptional products. Carnivore Club is about “satisfying your inner carnivore” through the discovery of amazing cured meats and the story of their creators. 

Membership

You can choose a membership configuration that suits your needs: monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly. Or maybe you want to purchase a one month box to see how you like being a discerning member of Carnivore Club.

Monthly – one time fee of $55.

Monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly – $50/month

 

Les Importations Papille originated in 1991 and have since been committed to educating the consumer about fine foods. They also work with artisanal producers, as a result, can guarantee the quality and freshness of the products sold.

Rosette de Lyon – Green Pepper 

Widely considered to be the culinary capital of France, Lyon has given many gifts to the world of gastronomy. Arguably, its most memorable amongst them is the Rosette de Lyon. Made with nothing but pork and spices, this delicious dry sausage can be enjoyed alone or on a deli platter.

Aromatized Salt – Herbes de Provence

Imported from the coasts of beautiful Sicily, this salts is quality from start to finish. Turn a boring meal into something special with the addition of one of our exciting aromatized salts. Just a pinch of these intensely flavoured salts will do to turn any dish into a masterpiece. Give your taste buds a ride on the flavour side.

Saucisson

Coming from all regions of the world, dry cured sausage comes in many forms. Papille’s can be eaten straight out of the package and without the need to slice or peel the product. Only the best raw materials are used in their dry cured sausages. Delicious as snacks on the go, or on a charcuterie platter to start a long delicious meal. Papille’s dry cured sausages are as delicious as they are versatile. 

All of the meats in Carnivore Club’s boxes are cured and shelf stable for at least a month. However, they recommend refrigerating everything immediately after receipt to maintain quality and increase shelf life.

My thoughts

We really enjoyed this box from Carnivore Club and thought all the meats included were delicious. There’s not a single product that we disliked. 

I owe big thanks to Carnivore Club for making me discover this little local treasure. I would never have found out about this amazing company that is making incredible products right in my backyard if it wasn’t for them.
