Kandoo

Potty training can be a challenge for both parents and kids alike. No matter how independent kids are, sometimes they just need a little extra help getting clean. With Kandoo’s flushable cleansing wipes, kids can achieve both cleanliness and independence with just one wipe. Kandoo wipes are hypoallergenic, alcoholless, and moistened with lotion to add softness while cleaning up to 30-percent better than toilet paper. That means a great, safe clean for your baby and your toddler in even the most sensitive of areas. Kandoo flushable wipes provide a simple way to keep kids fresh and clean while traveling or on the move. The soft travel tub also makes it easy for parents to take to go. Each single wipe is roughly the size of two sheets of toilet paper, and the pop-up dispenser makes it easy for kids to grab, no rolling or ripping required. By making staying clean easy, Kandoo lets kids wipe without worry and empowers them to say, I can do it myself.

While flushable wipes may swirl down the toilet with ease, experts say they don’t disintegrate, creating serious problems as they work their way through aging sewage systems on their way to treatment plants. Waste-water utilities across Canada say flushable wipes are creating putrid sewage clogs that are costing Canadians at least $250 million a year.

The Kandoo wipes aren’t a total lost however, they are biodegradable which means if you use them to wipe your hands or face, remove makeup, clean your keyboard, erase deodorant marks on clothes,  clean your shoes… etc. after you may dispose of them in your compost.

You can also use them the traditional way with your baby. Once you’ve wiped their bottom you throw out the wipe in the garbage along with the diaper. But I think this product was aiming for a more environmentally friendly use, therefore, I would prefer to use them in a matter of which I could dispose of them in the compost.
