Netflix Holiday Binging #StreamTeam

The Holidays are almost here, which also means the kids are going to be home from school for two weeks.  I know we’re going to end up hearing “I’m bored” a few dozen times in the next couple of weeks.  We try to do as many activities as we can while they are on winter break, but there is always one of them that is ALWAYS bored no matter what we are doing.  This is where Netflix comes in.

Christmas morning, after the kids are done opening their gifts, we turn on Netflix for them to watch as they play with their new toys while the adults make breakfast.

Netflix is also on when the family comes over for the Holidays.  The adults are all in the kitchen talking and sharing laughs, while the cousins are all spending time together playing games, eating snacks and watching Netflix in the living room.

We want to introduce you to a new show coming to Netflix on December 23rd. This DreamWorks Animation Television will treat families to 13 hours of adventure, suspense and limitless imagination with the all-new series DreamWorks Trollhunters, from renowned director Guillermo del Toro.

 Trollhunters!

This epic saga isn’t your ordinary kids fare, as parents are just as likely to end up hooked. When the world of humans and trolls collide and an ordinary teenager is beckoned to save them both, parent and child alike will find themselves cheering on an unlikely yet lovable hero. With dozens of hours of unstructured time to fill until kids head back to school, DreamWorks Trollhunters has everyone at home covered with 26 cinematic episodes ripe for enjoyment.

My kids can’t wait to watch this (and so am I)!

Did you know that Netflix recently announced that you can now download many of your favourite series and movies at no extra cost?  To download, make sure your Netflix app is updated to the latest version and head to the ‘Available for Download’ menu on your tablet or mobile device.  I love this feature. I can now download some of my favourite shows to watch on the go where I don’t normally have access to wifi.
