Giveaways Reviews Summer Guide Toys

Scoot and Ride HighwayFreak 2-in-1 Push-Bike

Spring is here and its time to get those spring and summer toys out of storage. Your little ones will be asking to use them very soon (if they haven’t already).  This is the time of year where most parents discover that the little ones are too big and have outgrown their tricycles and its time to shop around for a “big kid” bike.

As many parents know, it is hard to teach a child to ride a bike for the first time. There is usually a lot of crying (not only from the child), falling and cuts and scrapes before they get the hang of it.

Did you know balance bikes are a great way for them to learn?

I had the pleasure of trying out the HighwayFreak 2-in-1 push bike from Scoot & Ride.

About Scoot & Ride:

Scoot & Ride was founded in 2012 in a small town in upper Austria called Grieskirchen.
The idea was born out of necessity that children actually need two products: a balance bike and a
scooter in order fulfill their needs to have fun while learning to ride a bike. This is when the Scoot and Ride was born!

After several attempts to get it right and many tests to ensure the product Safety, the protype was born.
Today, children all over the world are enjoying this unique “convertible” as they educate themselves on how to ride a bike as well as have fun while on a scooter.

This unique bike is not only a balance bike, but also a scooter! Kids will have double the fun! This is great for kids just learning to ride a bike or kids who are not at the bike riding stage just yet and want to roll around on a scooter.

Scoot & Ride’s HighwayFreak 2-in-1 push bike is ideal for kids aged 3 to 6. It is light-weight, sturdy and made with a robust welded chassis. This unique 2-in-1 product can carry up to 110lbs!

The Scoot & Ride Highwayfreak arrives in 2 parts.

It is very simple to set up – Simply insert the handle bar into the frame and lock it in place using the safety clamp.

The handlebar is adjustable in two positions – this ensures an ergonomic posture while riding either as a push-bike or as a scooter.

Adjust the hight of the handle bar to fit your child comfortably.

The Highwayfreak also features a soft seat and anti-slip handles.

The newer model of the Highwayfreak also features a front wheel fender, steel fork with suspension cover and a kick-stand.

The front frame features a one-hand mechanism to allow the user to twist between the bike and scooter functions very easily and without tools.

The front also features a big, soft EVA front wheel which ensures a good grip to the road as well as a smooth ride.

When in the scooter position, the HighwayFreak features anti-slip sandpaper to ensure little ones feet wont slip off while using it.

The frame is made of aluminum and steel components which makes the HighwayFreak very durable and will last a long time.

In addition to this being an amazing product, part of the proceeds of every sale goes towards the Breakfast Club of Canada.

This is a great product. My 3 year old really enjoys having his own scooter/bike. It has been too cold here for him to use it outside just yet, but I know he will enjoy it even more when the weather warms up enough to bring it out to the street!
